CHINA’S NAVAL HOSPITAL SHIP ARRIVES AT TEMA PORT FOR SEVEN-DAY HUMANITARIAN MEDICAL MISSION
China’s People’s Liberation Army Navy hospital ship, AUSPICIOUS ARK (Hull 868), has arrived at Tema Port to begin a seven-day humanitarian medical mission in Ghana under Mission Harmony 2026.
The mission, which runs until October 30, 2026, is expected to provide medical services to members of the public while promoting professional exchanges between Ghanaian and Chinese military medical personnel.
The humanitarian initiative is aimed at supporting healthcare delivery and strengthening medical cooperation between the two countries through the sharing of expertise and experience.
The visit also marks the first reported arrival of a Chinese naval hospital ship in Ghana, highlighting a new chapter in medical cooperation between Ghana and China.
